An ideal starting point for visiting the many WWII sites and monuments (the D-Day beaches, Pointe du Hoc, Sainte-Mère-Eglise, Saint Côme du Mont, Dead Man’s Corner, Carentan, various war cemeteries, Arromanches…) all of the popular D-Day spots are nearby.

Our region is not only full of D-Day relics, but Isigny also has an exeptional French culinary heritage: oysters, smoked salmon, butter, cream, cheeses, cider, calvados and all the local fish and meat products.
Not forgetting the history buffs, in the Bessin, there is also a rich architectural heritage which complements the natural beauty. The area is a rich farming region, with many old castles and manors houses; lots of gems which can be reached by car, on foot, on horse back, via a horses-drawn carriage or even by kayak!
